Chris Gauld wins EY Energy Entrepreneur of the Year
Oct 07, 2016 by Spark
We’re proud to announce that Chris, our CEO, won the Energy category at the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Awards on Monday night. The judges were impressed with how Spark, under Chris’ leadership, has grown to fill an innovative niche in the traditional energy market – saving time and money for tenants, letting agents and landlords across the country.
Speaking about the award, Chris said:
“I’m honoured to win the award. It’s as much a testament to the hard work of all our staff and management team, and their commitment to giving an excellent specialist service to our customers, as it is to the journey I’ve been on personally.
"The British energy market services a wide and diverse range of customers with different wants and needs so it’s brilliant that awards like these recognise our place in delivering a better solution as part of that mix. We’re really excited about our plans for the business and our commitment to constant improvement. Awards like these provide just that little extra motivation."
Annie Graham, EY Partner and Entrepreneur Of The Year Programme Leader in Scotland said:
“Entrepreneurs see the world differently. They see opportunity where others see obstacles and in a world that is constantly throwing up new challenges and disruptions, their entrepreneurial spirit is vital to driving economic growth. Chris is an excellent example of the calibre of entrepreneurs in Scotland and their contribution to business, the jobs market and the economy."
