Electricity from renewable sources

Spark is committed to providing 100% of our customers with a renewable source of power, even on our standard tariffs. Whilst this is a challenging target, we believe it's not only good for the planet but makes good commercial sense.  

Where do we source our energy?

Up to10% of our electricity requirements are purchased from renewable generators and we are always looking for additional sources to help us on our way.

This can include energy generated from wind, bio-energy, bio-mass, anaerobic digestion, energy crops or hydro.

How to join us?

If you are a larger renewable generator, typically generating over 500kW, we would like to talk to you about setting up a power purchase agreement with us. We can offer you competitive prices for your export and renewable certificates (ROCs and REGOs).

We are interested in technologies with high load factors, e.g. sustainable bio-generation and anaerobic digestion schemes.
