Selkirk move-Sparks expansion
Spark Energy in the news- 12th Sept 2007

A new consumer energy company has announced a move to the Scottish Borders as it unveiled plans to expand its workforce.

Spark, which was set up in Edinburgh this year, is to create up to 150 jobs in the next four years after it moves to new headquarters in Selkirk. With supplier licences and an established customer base already in place, Spark plans to target residential tenants, property companies and private landlords in a bid to cash in on niche markets not covered by larger firms. The firm said it wanted to link with work already being done in the Borders to explore the potential of renewable energy.
